Young People
Before getting involved in doing something and saying “I’ll do that”, you must simply be excited at the idea of doing….well, what ever it is that excites you. We ask - what it is you enjoy doing and how can you enjoy using it
BeMMaD (Befriending and Mentoring Making a Difference) works with young people across Suffolk aged 16-25 to excite encourage and enable you to act on the issues that affect your life. Our team of three staff will support you to act on your ideas and direct your own projects.
The first step is to ask yourself - what skills, interests and experiences can you use and how can you enjoy using them to benefit another person? We believe any skill or experience can be used positively for the benefit of another. It’s just realising how you can use it
Mentoring and befriending can be a rewarding experience for those involved. It can be formal (mentoring) or relaxed (befriending) and used in a wide variety of settings. We aim to be diverse and inclusive in the range of projects and people we work with. All we ask for is a willingness to help others.
